DNA SEQUENCING -FAQ 's
Q1: Where can
I find the DNA sequencing request form?
A: You can pick-up a request
form from the facility, or download the form from the sequence folder
located on the server.
Q2:
How should I prepare my DNA for sequencing?
A: Please
referrer to DNA considerations.
Q3: How should my samples be
labeled?
A: We ask that
your DNA and Primer name is no longer than six characters.
Q4: When and where do I drop –off my samples?
A: Samples can be
dropped-off Monday through Friday, between 7 :AM
and 4 :PM in building 2Rm 2201. We also have an after-hour drop box located
by the facility.
Q5: When will I get my results?
A: In 24 hours if samples
are submitted by 9:AM .
Q6: How do I check the status of my submitted
samples?
A: Check the
sequence result folder located on the server. If your samples are not
posted in 24 hours give us a call or send us an email.
Q7: Should I resuspend template in TE or H20?
A: H20

Does the facility provided universal primers?
A: These are the following
primers we provide at no charge:M13F-R,T7T-P,T3,SP6
