Guidelines for Custom packaged lentiviral preparation.

1. Please provide the lentiviral vector DNA, containing your gene of interest, which you want to have packaged into the virus.

2. Please provide a minimum of 100μg of endofree transfection-quality DNA. Qiagen or Marligen's endofree maxi-prep works well.

    WE DO NOT ACCEPT DNA MINIPREPS.

    Please indicate the concentration of your transfer vector (we prefer 1μg/μL).

3. Please provide the corresponding transfer vector sequence so we can establish a lentiviral sequence repository.

    This will facilitate the knowledge exchange between different laboratories at the Burnham Institute. 

4. For safety reasons we ask you to provide information on the nature of your gene of interest and it's promoter (i.e.: oncogene, etc...)

5. Acknowledge the BIMR Lentiviral Core Facility if viruses are used in the generation of publication ripe material.

6. We are happy to provide basic protocols on how to generate the appropriate lentiviral expression vectors.

Guidelines for Mycoplasma Testing.

1. Please provide us with 50μL of you cell culture supernatant in a 1.5mL microcentrifuge tube.
