La Jolla Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Center Cores

Supported by a National Institutes of Health Blueprint for Neurosciences Research grant.

What is the Blueprint for Neurosciences Research grant? This grant supports core technology facilities for researchers studying the nervous system. The program brings together over 100 laboratories from the four San Diego institutions by expanding the range of core services and by allowing investigators access to many of each other's Core Facilities. By making these important Core Services available to the local Neuroscience community, the La Jolla Neurosciences Program hope to promote the study of how the nervous system works and develop treatments for nervous system diseases.

The Blueprint for Neurosciences Research is led by Stuart Lipton, M.D., Ph.D., Director of the Center for Neuroscience and Aging Research at the Burnham Institute for Medical Research, and Stephen Heinemann, Ph.D., Professor in the Molecular Neurobiology Laboratory of the Salk Research Institute.

For information on the resources, including access to core services, please contact Jim O'Fallon, Program Coordinator for the Blueprint Design grant at (858)646-3100, x3568, or at jofallon@burnham.org. Or you can contact the individual core service managers of the resources listed below. Users should download and complete this service form and provide an electronic copy to the core director.
